Summer must really be here, because Pride is already upon us. Be sure to be downtown this Sunday at 11 AM to catch the 37th annual Seattle Pride Parade, themed “Be You. Be Proud. Express Yourself!” The Mayor and his staff will be marching with the Seattle City Employee LGBTQA group SEqual, followed by the Seattle Police Department contingent.

Pride week is (some would argue) the best party of the year. But it’s also a time to celebrate how far we’ve come in the struggle for equality, and reflect on how far we still have to go. Please join us in honoring our LGBTQ community this Sunday.

You might see even get a chance to see our office mascot Fiona, who marched last year to great acclaim.
